About "LearnFromFables"

"LearnFromFables" is a free collection of fables, which aim to help you in your language studies (Chinese, English or German). We want to take you away from the traditional text books and listening exercises and want to present you fables written from people from all over the world. We hope, that you find "LearnFromFables" a great way to improve your language skills. Unlike most language programs, where you have to check every word in a dictionary, we provide you with a sentence by sentence translation for every story. We know that studying a foreign language on your own time means that you need to be able to study where and when you can. With this in mind we built our webpage so, that you can use it on your mobile as well as on tablet computers. Additionally we compressed audio-files using either mp3 or ogg files, which you can also download at home. We hope that you will practice and read fables during your daily routine, your way to work, to school or to university.

About our inspiration

We have had a lifelong love affair with books- especially the classics and graphic novels. However, there are some current bestsellers included as well like the swarm (which I loved). We think a list of books we liked can be a great way to keep track. When I look through this list it is like seeing old friends for me.

So here is a list of 100 Books to Read in a Lifetime. I think this is an extensive list of good books across several categories. So you might take a look at this list and see if you want to add some things to your bookshelf. You can click the links to be taken to the wikipedia page of the author. There is definitely something for everyone.
